Melissa, wht a wonderful idea - your letter is beautiful - i'm inspired. i am going to start writing my baby a letter every month now too. it seems like a much more do-able proposition than keeping up regular entries in a baby book. i was just wondering the other day if our kids will ever get to read any of this stuff we write about them on our blogs..i imagine it would be pretty fun for them to read. but i suppose blogs will be old-school by that time.

I stole the idea from Dooce.com. I'm only sorry I didn't steal it sooner! I didn't start it until 5 months.
That's a good idea about printing the letters out for her baby book. I am very bad about keeping up A's baby book, but maybe this will suffice.

Melissa, that is very sweet and although I'm an easy mark these days, your Schoolhouse Rock quote really made me cry. I and my husband and baby are now three and it's really started to feel like a family, here lately. What a nice letter, thanks for letting us read it. Oh and I'm *totally* jealous of the 12 hours of sleep you get some nights!
