Heh. We only have three cats (although have had four at times), so I guess I'm only half as crazy as you. And yes, one of our cats was a stray that I started feeding and then my husband named. I was like, "if you name this cat, we're keeping it." Ten years later, he's still with us!
I knew there had to be a logical explanation... heheh. I'm a total sucker for strays, too, but my husband's allergies keep me in check. He's already been over-the-top accommodating about the two cats we do have. (Fortunately, the dog is non-allergenic.) We've briefly fostered two strays on separate occasions, but found them homes within a couple of weeks.
I think it's so wonderful that you took such trouble to take care of all those strays. If everyone were only half that generous...
