Heheh. The mister tends to eschew instructions (and maps and recipes and the digital cable channel guide, etc.), too.

Any time a new device enters our home, it's a race to see who can figure it out first, with him diving right in and me skimming the directions as quickly as possible, then trying to intercept.

He does defer to my skill in assembling furniture, though. I speak fluent IKEA.

I've always wondered why people refer to their significant others as "partners". We're more like rivals. But this is healthy, right?

Our system is to designate a boss for each project. The non-boss has to do what the boss says and not suggest alternate, better ways of doing things. This has prevented more fights than I can tell you.

Yeah, I didn't even get into the fact that I WILL NOT read a map, because I am always convinced that I know exactly where I'm going. (This applies only to personal trips, not work ones.) I have amazed landisdad at times with my ability to find my way out of being lost, though.
